Here is a story about a web site sale that went terribly wrong. About two months ago I purchased a website where users play free games online for about $3,000 . Ever wanted a suit of armor like Iron Man? Well, now you can! OK, but to be honest this is much more likely to have amazing medical (or military) applications than recreational ones. Berkeley Bionics has developed a suit that will allow users to carry up to 200 pounds with very little effort.
Perhaps the most disappointing thing is that, from a design standpoint, the suit looks quite cumbersome and is likely awkward to wear as well. Still, think of this as a prototype: if they were to go toward mass-production they would surely try and make the design more inspiring for potential purchasers. Either way would you really pass this up if you had the opportunity to own one?
